Back to School Reminders

As we settle into another exciting school year at Andrean, we want to make sure our families have all the important details at their fingertips. Please take a moment to review these reminders to help the year start smoothly:

  • Choice Paperwork: If you were unable to attend Choice Signing Night, you can still complete your Indiana Choice paperwork. Forms will be available for signature in the Main Office. Paperwork must be completed by August 31.
  • Super Raffle Tickets: Families can pick up their Super Raffle tickets in the Development Office.
  • Attendance Policy: Please review Andrean High School's Attendance Policy - Click here to view the document.
  • Lunch Accounts: Please ensure your student’s lunch account is funded. To add funds, log into Family Portal, click the Financial Tab, and add funds to your Pre-Pay Account.
  • Parking Passes: Students who drive to school are required to have a parking pass. Parents or guardians must sign the parking permit agreement, and passes are issued through the Main Office. Each tag costs $100.
  • ID Photos: All students and staff will have their student ID photos taken on Monday, August 24.

Campus Ministry

To live out our school motto, “Christ is My Teacher” (CMT), all Andrean students will pray once a month as part of our theology curriculum. Each month, students will then choose to either serve or donate as their CMT activity.

Check the calendar below for this month’s CMT options. Happy Serving!

August Donations: Due by August 28 at 3:00 PM. Bring your donation to your theology teacher to receive credit!

Student Drop-Off Policy

To ensure a safe, efficient morning drop-off process for your student and the fellow students of Andrean High School, please follow this procedure for daily drop-off:

  • Drive eastbound to the very rear of the lot (by the baseball field).
  • Turn left and drive all the way to the end of the lane.
  • This allows student drivers easy access to parking closer to the building & eliminates traffic flow where students are crossing to enter the building.
  • See the diagram above for clarification.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation in making Andrean a safe environment for our students.

Andrean Volunteer Recognition Event

Andrean High School students who volunteered following the June tornado—including those who assisted with storm cleanup and those who volunteered during the recent furniture move-in day—are invited to be recognized during a special community celebration on Sunday, August 30, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at Whiting Lakefront Park. The recognition will take place as part of the annual Back-to-School Resource Fair organized by the nonprofit Let's Make Change Agents, led by Araceli Corona. Students, families, community partners, and local residents will gather to celebrate the servant leadership and commitment to service demonstrated by Andrean students during the school’s recovery efforts.

Families should complete the linked reservation form by August 15th so event organizers can plan accordingly. Questions may be directed to Shellie Zaberdac, Director of Development, Big Shoulders Fund Northwest Indiana, at szaberdac@bigshouldersfund.org or 219-765-4978.

Andrean is excited to welcome back our beloved Super Raffle, a community-wide fundraiser supporting the mission of our school. Students, families, alumni, and friends are invited to join forces to help raise funds and maybe win big in the process.

  • Each student is required to sell 10 raffle tickets at $50 each.
  • Grand Prize: $10,000, with ten total cash prizes drawn!
  • The winning tickets will be drawn at the Super Raffle Social on Saturday, November 14th, at Innsbrook Country Club.

Tickets and cash are due by Wednesday, November 4th by 4 PM; no late entries allowed.

This year, the ten top-selling students will receive a $1,000 scholarship (students must sell 20 or more to be considered) to be applied to their 26/27 tuition balance.

Let’s rally together for another incredible year, support our students, build school spirit, and celebrate at the Super Raffle Social!
